Fund Workers
We’ll restore dignity to work by making sure every job pays fairly and respects workers’ rights.
Strengthen unions and protect the right to organize:
Pass the PRO Act to outlaw union-busting tactics.
Guarantee card-check recognition when a majority of workers want a union — if most workers sign cards saying they want to unionize, the union is automatically recognized without forcing a drawn-out election where corporations intimidate and retaliate.
Enforce real penalties on employers who retaliate against organizers.
Guarantee paid sick leave and paid time off:
Pass a national paid sick leave law with at least 7 days annually.
Create a universal paid family and medical leave program.
Require employers to provide a minimum of 10 vacation days per year.
Raise wages so work pays:
Raise the federal minimum wage to $17/hour, indexed to inflation.
End the tipped minimum wage and subminimum wage for workers with disabilities.
Enforce stronger penalties for wage theft and misclassification.
